Auf jeden Fall muss ich da nochmal ran.

Habe bei pelican herumgestöbert, und dort zumindest meine Zusatzfrage beantwortet gefunden: müsste bei kaltem Motor nicht das hintere Thermostat geschlossen sein, so daß die Leckage erst richtig bei warmen Motor auffiel?

There is full (scavenge) oil pressure at the oil cooler all the time.
There is also low flow through the cooler, even when very cold. This lets the pipes & cooler warm as the engine warms.
When the oil coming out of the engine and through the thermostat reaches about 180F, the thermostat starts to open.
When the oil temperature is about 210F, the thermostat is ‘full open’ and almost all the oil is going through the cooler.

The highest pressure at the cooler is when you start the engine cold and the scavenge pump must purge the crankcase of pure oil (no entrained air).
